Sutra 5 : Shoonya Samyasamucaye(If the total/combination is same, it should be zero)

Example 1:

(7x + 5)/(9x-5)=( 9x + 7)/(7x+17)

The numerator of the first part of the equation + numerator of the 2nd part

equals

The denominator of the first part + denominator of the second part

(7x+5) +(9x+7)   = ( 9x-5) + (7x +17)

16x +12 =16x +12

According to the sutra , if both sides of the equation are equal we can conclude that  either side is zero

So,

16x + 12 =0

ie , 16x = –12

x= –3/4
